Dubai is preparing to introduce a 24-carat gold walkway at its Dubai Gold District before the end of 2026, adding a new attraction to the emirate’s established gold and jewellery trade. Rashid Al Harmoodi, the district’s senior commercial director, said the project is expected to open within the next two months. The development is being presented as the world’s first and longest walkway of its kind. The attraction is intended to give visitors a distinctive experience while strengthening Dubai’s reputation as an international destination for gold shopping, jewellery and bullion trading. The announcement comes as the district reports a 20% rise in new wholesale gold-trading offices and a 15% increase in new jewellery, precious-stone and luxury-watch stores since the start of 2026.
